In vivo toxicology studies are essential to establish the toxicological profiles of novel drug candidates in the preclinical phase, prior to human administration.
Our company provides acute, subacute and subchronic toxicity studies on laboratory rodents (mouse, rat). The toxicity studies are usually performed through oral, intravenous and intraperitoneal administration. After administration, animals are monitored for 8 hours continuously for showing any changes in physical health and behavior. The weight, food and water intake are daily monitored. After termination, blood tests (quantitative and qualitative analysis) is performed. Upon request, organ and/or tissue specific toxicogenomic analysis is available.
Toxicogenomic Analysis
The changes of tissue- and organ-specific gene markers are detected on HTS QRT-PCR panels. Our toxicogenomic panel contains numerous specific genes that are later analyzed in toxicity studies. The tissue-specific toxicity can be assessed via gene expression data of 1344 genes.
